Two weeks from today, I shall begin my long talked of trip to Chicago. While this is not of itself an interesting trip, I have tried to make it so. I have added an interesting twist in-that I have chosen to make this trip on foot. I will be posting daily updates (when internet access is available,(Verizon, can you hear me now?) I hope you, my fellow writers will find this an interesting trek, and should you find it so you could be a great help by simply taking the time to inform others of this effort. Those of you who communicate with Oprah and the like would aid me greatly by informing them of this activity. If the shoe were on the other foot, I would do so for you. Never-the-less, I hope you enjoy your vicarious seat in the arena.

I'll keep that in mind, so please keep me posted!!!

Glad you shared the link to the interview with me, because, unfortunately, the only station coming from Chicago included in my Michigan City choices was the only one that didn't interview you at all.

Sorry that we ended up like ships passing in the night--but I ended up having a wonderful (and considerably-longer) vacation up in Dune Country, thanks to my original goal of heading up that way to meet you!

Hopefully, we'll meet the next time you get back this way...

I have not watched television in six months, but tomorrow I break with that just to see you there. I could have sworn you said ABC though - I hope I don't blow it by watching the wrong channel... :)

This is the restaurant I told you about:

Westy's M&M Restuarant
1608 E. Michigan Blvd.
Michigan City, Indiana

This place is open from early in the morning until about four in the afternoon and specializes in breakfast and lunch dishes.

They make some of the best homemade soups around, so be sure to ask and see what they're serving. Hopefully, they will be serving what I believe to be my two favorites there:

Stuffed Pepper Soup
&
Potato Soup With Sausage

Their tomato juice is tops also!

In fact, I don't think that you'll meet a food there that you won't like.

Blintzes are also a wonderful item to dive into!
