Okay seriously i hate stupid freaking computer's... Why can't they make one that works half assed decent when you want it to? I have two options lately WDC or Windows live... WTF? Nothing else will load. On a rare ocassion FB will load then it locks everything up... My office org is fucked to beat hell so is my print shop won't work... My pictures won't upload and i'm ready to toss it all out the window and live without the hassle of having a computer.... Makes it damn hard to talk to people. Or do anything else for that matter.......... Fucks sake. Cries and goes to the corner......

Recently a good and dear friend of mine posted a blog here on WDC titled “Stigma of Mental Disorders” It shows how people with mental disorders are treated and gives a rough estimate of how many people suffer from these disorders. But did you know according to the  DSM and ICD there are over 400 mental disorders, ranging from minor to sever cases.

 The International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD) is published by the World Health Organization, and it contains a section on psychological and behavioral disorders. The diagnostic criteria and information in the DSM and ICD are revised and updated with each new version. This listing lists a small portion of how many mental disorder's there are and some I wouldn't have thought of as a disorder. One would think that with so many out there that people would treat people with such disorders better than they do. But we live in a society where if you aren't perfect or seem to be. You are looked down upon for having a disease/ illness of such disorders.

My personal opinion is and it will always stand. Is that EVERY man, woman and child whether they have a Mental illness or not or any illness for that matter, should be treated as we being healthy and normal would want to be treated. But for some unfortunate reason that doesn't happen. Most people think that those who have such disorders should be locked away and forgotten about. My friends stated in his blog “To meet all these faces and to endure this horrible stigma of feeling less of a person just for being ill is so numbing it would break anyone, and most are already close to an edge already. This cursed need to hide it, just to not get looked down upon instead of being given encouraging words, is so entirely fucked up beyond any reason. Having to fear going to a doctor and try to get help at all, just because the stigma has convinced you that acknowledging these problems will get you locked in. Hiding away from meeting professional doctors in these areas and from cures out of fear for what they will need to do to you, should not be worse then the regular fear of doctors. But the “truths” of what it all stipulates and how much you will forever be remembered for it keeps people from getting help. It's like being marked forever as an outsider, in a society where 30-45% people suffer from mental disorders at some point in their life, depending on where and what studies. People hide it from fear of being marked so much that the truth of these numbers never reach each others ears.  “

This 30-45% according to Wikipedia is.... Over a third of people in most countries report meeting criteria for the major categories at some point in their life.

My heart goes out to him and all of the other suffers who deal with this on a daily basis. What's the real cost of giving someone an encouraging word or a kind hello OR better yet that push in the right direction to get the help they so desperately need. Why don't we do this? Fear that's why. Fear of what is unknown to us as a person who does not suffer. But then again don't we? I bet there is not one person on this planet who has NOT suffered in one way shape or form from one of the items on the list of disorders. Take a minute and think about that before you look down upon those who who don't deserved to be treated any different then you or I.

Hi again everyone. Today's blog is well sort of about my inspiration of late.

Recently I met a young man who greatly inspires me as a whole. His wit and humor have caused me many smiles in the last few days. He is by far one of my best friends. He keeps things bottled up which sometimes is no good for him but he is slowly learning to trust, when he has no real reason too. For this i am very thankful for.

He inspires me on a daily basis just by do small things that so many of us take for granted. His mind is not whole yet I believe that it can be through patients and lots of care. For this too i'm grateful to have this young man as a friend. Sometimes he feels that people won't like him for who or what he is, if he speaks the truth. This is where i tell him he is wrong. My opinion for what it's worth is that if you can't be excepted for who you are then the people who clam to be your friends are not really your friends..

There are times when he hates the world and i don't believe his feeling are too off the mark from what many of us sometimes feel. Actually his feeling are pretty much on the mark. lol sometimes i wonder what brought the two of us together, whether it be fate or destiny which ever I'm glad it did. I'm a very strong believer in both. But don't tell him that. hehehe

He has inspired a story i'm currently working. Whether it's his or someone else's i'm not sure yet but story has been plaguing my brain for the last two days. Most of you know that i mainly write Erotica/romance so this will be a lot different from what i'm used too. I blame my new found friend... lol He gave me the inspiration to go outside my comfort zone and write about something totally different as i too send him outside his to get him to write things he's not comfortable with. Although I'm finding out he is rather good at writing. lol And I think he's finding that out as well. So i'm hoping he continues on this chosen path.

Daniel David Talks About “Spence”



It isn't everyday a novice writer like myself receives the opportunity to do an interview with a member of an up and coming rock band. So when the chance presented it's self I jumped in with both feet. After a few false starts and a lot of conflicts in scheduling, I was finally able to catch up with Daniel David of the Rock and Roll band “Spence” to ask him a few questions about the band .

Daniel David, Mario, Mike and Christian came together to form the heavy hitting Rock and Roll band “Spence” in 2008. When I asked Daniel how the group got together his reply was ;

Daniel David; We're all from Los Angeles, CA -  We met through mutual friends. I already knew Mike, and we just slowly searched for other guys to add to Spence. Finding the right guys isn't easy at all.

In thinking up the questions for this interview, there was one question that kept nagging at the back of my mind. Why a name like “Spence”? I asked Daniel why they chose the name “Spence”. His answer was so far off from what I thought he would say it actually made me stop and ponder for a bit.

Daniel David; We wanted to pick a name that had an innocent childlike vibe to it for a reason.

When you're a child you don't know limitations, you believe in yourself and that you can do anything. 

its when we start growing up and getting older that our hearts and minds start getting polluted.

Day by day we slowly start losing the spirit of "I can make anything happen".

The reasons we slowly start getting broken down come from everywhere. Could be family problems, bad friendships, break ups, divorce, losing your job.. many different scenarios

At the same time, no matter how old we are I feel we all still have some of that child like spirit within us.

I feel its that part of you that tells you 'keep going and never give up on yourself'. That inner child that knows no limitations, and hasn't been exposed to the blackened hearts we're around everyday

I'm not an English major... so i hope nothing got lost in there :)

Honestly, I don't think he lost anyone with that statement and I think many of us can relate. We all have a bit of inner child in us just waiting to let go from time too time.

I then asked Daniel how difficult has it been for them to get their music out to the public, without having a signed deal with a major record label?

Daniel David; Not hard at all. It does take away from personal time, but it's not hard to get our music out there. It just takes time, consistency, and connecting with people who take the time to listen to us. It's better to have 1 fan who's wild about you then 1000 who know your name and don't really care. We've got some huge advertisement plans in the works this coming year to get more people on a wider scale familiar with Spence. So it'll be exciting
We will ALL be looking forward to this.. :)

Many of us have people who inspire us through out our daily lives in one way, shape or form, so I asked Daniel who or what inspires him.

Daniel David; This might sound really lame and not so rock n roll.. but my mom is my biggest supporter. I wouldn't be where I'm at right now if it wasn't for her constant support.

It may not be rock and roll but it's definitely not lame, many of us can relate to Daniels statement. Our MOM's are a big part of our lives.

I ask DD if there was ever a point during this thing called “Spence” if he ever felt like giving up?

Daniel David; Yes, we've all wanted to give up at some point. It's usually when it feels like "nothing is going right" but typically those feelings pass after you sit down and see all the positives going on. It's not a feeling that comes often, but sometimes life gets the best of anyone and makes you doubt everything and anything you love doing.

To be quite honest I didn't even know that this band existed until I received a polite message from Daniel and a follow on Twitter Since then I've had the opportunity to chat with Daniel and a few of the other member's of “Spence”, all great guys I assure you. It isn't often a person/fan runs across a band willing to take time out of their busy day to chat with fans. These guys do that on a daily basis, one of them is always online chatting with a fan or two. I ask Daniel to give be a brief bio of the band.

DD responded by saying; A brief bio you say? Spence is simple. Music & Friendship. We want to add value to the lives of the people that take the time to listen. If we don't add any type of value then we're just another band. There is a reason we talk to everyone who messages us on a daily basis, and it's cause they take the time to support us. If a band can't take some time to talk with the people that support them then I don't think they deserve any success. At the end of the day it's all about the people who gave you that opportunity to shine.

Well said! It's great to see these young, up and coming stars of tomorrow understand the bigger picture. Without their fans support they have nothing. With it they have everything and too “quote” Brent Smith of “Shinedown” “At the end of the day we only have one boss. It just happens to be everyone in the audience.” Bands like this have my support and that of many others, not only are they inspirations to their fans but great friends as well. “Spence” has proven that many times over and with the support of their fans now and those to come in the future “Spence” will definitely hit the big time.

Hi all. Nope I still have no voice but my fingers still work. lol I don't really have much to say today. I just wanted to pop on and give a big thanks to inrain for making my blog images for me. She did a good job. I'm very happy with them, especially the crow one it's exactly how I asked it to be.

Finally the rain has stopped and the sun is shining and it's freaking hot as blazes outside but i can't complain to much. I'm just glad it stopped raining.

Seriously some-days I wonder why I get out of bed. Woke up this morning to NO VOICE. Nothing, totally gone. WTF? To top it off the first day of my parents estate sale and it's RAINING!!!! We're not talking just a sprinkle, we're talking down pour with flood watches out for our area. Seriously someone is trying to tell me something. I'm beginning to wonder if i should build an ARK!!!! Out of the last 12 days we've had rain 8 of them.

On a lighter note I skipped into chat last night and got to watch a fight and a boot so love it when that happens . Made my day hehehehe. And this argument was over something stupid if i recall it was about music. Someone posted another damn youtube link. lol Yes it was good music, in my opinion anyway. But someone didn't agree with the person who posted it. And it started an argument, needless to say it ended with the room moderator saying the nasty F word and the starter of the argument calling the poster a prick. And there goes the boot in the a@@ I was waiting for hehehehe. Although if it would have been me I would have booted much sooner. Other than that the night was quite boring very slow in chat these days. Oh well... guess I'm off to check my contests and see if anyone has posted reviews in the Chatterbox forum. . today is just one of those days where i'd like to crawl back into bed and say f***k it. It started out with my son crawling into my bed at 1 a.m. I couldn't get back to sleep. Was up at five staring at the ceiling wishing for sleep. finally got my lazy butt out of bed around 8:30 which started my day with yelling and screaming. Ever have one of those days?

Tried getting the house work out of the way which was a task. Still have a ton to do before tomorrow's big yard sale. Seriously i wonder why i put myself through these things.

So after much thought i took a break thinking i'd hit chat today. Yeah should have stayed away. lol Does no one talk about writing anymore? It seems no one cares or maybe it's just me. Honestly if i see one more stupid youtube video linked I may just scream. although i did run across one of my favorite chatties who i haven't seen in a long time. We can still pick chat apart yay we still got it lol. Spent some time talking with the old sciman in his chat although i do that almost daily. hehe Also got a chance to talk with dannoden for a bit haven't seen him in forever either. Chat just isn't the same without them. Seems a lot of the older chatties are no longer around. Sigh.....

so now all is quiet so i must get back to work or write whichever sounds better. Ugh both seem to be a big chore lately. Especially writing. but i have a goal this year and with a lot of luck i'll reach that goal. I'll be 41 this year and my birthday present to myself this year is to finally finish my book. so we'll see.

Okay it's either me or something seems to be up with WDC as of late. It's like the place is a ghost town. Doesn't anyone do anything on this site anymore? It used to be i could go into chat and it would be filled with people or go and hit a contest and it would be filled with entries . Now it's like dead, gone. What's up with that? I realize many people have lives outside of WDC but seriously you would think a site this big would have some action going on some where. Don't get me wrong I'm sure things are happening and i'm probably looking in the wrong places. But all the same for someone like me who has been a die hard WDCer for the last 2 yrs. Yes i know i haven't been in chat much over the last few months but have had some personal issues to deal with. It's just hard to imagine that this site is suddenly so quiet. I know a lot of people have left for one reason or another and people just aren't doing the auctions,contests and stuff like they used to but wow. Either people are losing interest big time or it's me maybe i'm the one losing interest.

I know of late my writing has been suffering and i just haven't felt like doing a whole lot myself. But I have started my Saint's and Sinner's contest back up after months off the contest page and I've revamped and restarted the Chatterbox review back up but what does a person have to do to get more people involved? It's almost as if people just don't care anymore and that's a sad site to see.We have tons of newbies on this site and I on a rare occasion get an email asking for a review but nothing close to what i used to get. It's just strange. If anyone knows what's up let me know.

Welcome to my blog.

Yep I'm back. this blog has been a long time in coming. It's time to get back into the grind of things once again.
