It is hard to say what may transpire. Hind sight is always at least 20/20. Why worry about tomorrow? Today transfixes me and yesterday mesmerizes me.

Why set up a blog? Because I like to talk. Or, as others may say, I like to rant. And rave. *Bigsmile* Sadly, there is a very limited amount of people who are willing to sit and listen to me. *Frown* This can lead to some sad and frustrating conversations with...well, myself. So, for the sake of my sanity as well as everyone else's, I have decided to join the blogging fun and become a blogger myself!

What will you find here? Insane ramblings most likely. Some may actually be amusing depending on your humor. I may blog about new things I've discovered (some may actually be new while others may only be new to me; so, bear with me there). Things that annoy, irk, upset, tickle, fascinate, etc. me and every thing in the world is (are?) subject to blogging.

Disclaimer: Shouldn't everything pertaining to personal opinion have one?
I really like to talk about things that upset me or that I don't understand (often the same topic *Bigsmile*). Generally, these topics are controversial to say the least. If you have a problem with my viewpoints, that's fine. But don't yell at me for it. This is my blog and I am entitled to my own opinions! No one is forcing you to read so, just walk away. I do not tolerate yelling at me. I don't like it; don't do it! If you're afraid of being insulted or offended and can't tolerate being debated then just don't start anything. That said, I probably won't say anything to offend or insult; but, we must err on the side of caution!

Okay, now I have nothing left to blog about!! *Laugh* Well, feel free to check me out...uh, erm...I mean my blog and port. *Bigsmile* Catcha around!

Well, it's finally here. An inch of snow by 5:30 this morning and it's still snowing. I've heard amounts from an additional 3 inches to up to 9 inches by Saturday night. So much for breaking us in gently!

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving day and weekend. I'll be working, working, working! Looks like we'll be busy, which is good, makes the time go fast.

186.  Bad YearID #739088
Posted: 11-9-2011 @ 12:27 pm EST

So, it was a good thing that I finally got out of a bad job and I got a good job that I like (and pays better than my last job, even if just a little).

However, I find, in retrospect, it has been a lousy year!!!

My grandma went into the nursing home on Christmas Eve day. Her brother passed away after Easter. She passed away one week (exactly) after he did (May 5). One of my mom's cousins died at the end of July. Six months to the day (Nov 5) my great aunt died. It's just rotten that 3 siblings have gone in just a shade over six months. Now, there's just my Aunt Frankie left out of 7 siblings. The family is shrinking fast! It's so sad. And so many surprises. My cousin went in for back surgery and never woke up. My aunt was doing fine. She fell on Friday and died on Saturday (can you say malpractice?). She broke her knee. I was told they said they couldn't fix it and she was in a lot of pain so they gave her morphine and she died. Very odd; very strange.

2011 has just been a crappy year!

I'm really enjoying my new job. As with any road, there are bumps and rough patches, but so far, I'm really loving the journey. I can definitely see myself here for the long run. It's been a really long time since I've been able to say that. I still have regrets and what-not, but I'm starting to feel a lot better about where I am and where I'm going. Here's hoping to the best in the future.

That's the current count on the last time this was updated. I recently started a new job. I don't care for starting over and having to learn a new job, new enviroment, etc. But I'm way happier than at my last job. It's going to be great.

Autumn is SO beautiful. I just love all the trees. I went for a walk in the woods yesterday. I don't remember the last time I'd walked through the crunchy leaves! *Bigsmile* The sounds and smells are so yum.

It reminds me of things... But I've been so worn out lately that it's more of a niggling. I don't remember the last time I actually wrote anything. My muse is gone. There's plenty to write about, but it's almost as if I've forgotten how or lost the will or something... It's sad really.

It's so dark all the time now. The sun doesn't come up until after I'm on my way to work, and it sets about an hour after I get home. Pretty soon, it will be setting while I'm on my way home. That's the one thing I really dislike about this time of year. It makes it hard to get up in the morning when it's so very dark. I'd much rather just stay in bed. But the weather's been nice. We had one cold snap last week when I had to start my car early to get all the frost off. Then it went back into the 70s. It's supposed to be around 60 this week.

I would really like to find a job where I could get paid for doing something I love. But I guess I won't go there. Things could always be worse.

is a long time. No wonder I keep getting reminders in my email to update my blog. I hadn't realized it had been so long. I used to be really good about updating. Anymore, all I do is work and either drive to or from work.

The days keep getting shorter and shorter. *Frown* I can't believe how dark it is and it's just 9 pm. I get up in the morning and it's dark. We're definitely in the decline to winter.

On the upside, autumn means we're halfway in the decline. Three more months till the shortest day and then the days start getting longer again. I just hope we don't have a bad winter like last year.

Last winter, if the weather was bad, I could just call in. This winter, working at a bank that will probably be shorthanded means I'll have to tough it out. Pthb Which means leaving extra early and getting home extra late.

Oh well. It could always be worse.

I'm so frustrated today. I had a good week and then Friday totally sucked. Here's hoping for a good weekend.

Well, I had to fill in at another branch yesterday, so I have a short weekend. It wasn't bad at all. It was neat getting to see another office, and I enjoyed working with the girl that was there. I got off at noon, so I still had time to enjoy Saturday.

I went out to lunch afterward and then went to see The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which I thought was really good! It's been awhile since I saw a movie in a theater that I really enjoyed. This is one movie I will probably buy once it comes out on DVD. There was one scene in the movie where they recreated The Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia, while not unexpected or new, it still seemed fresh somehow and was funny.

Now, I'm just going to chill out and enjoy Sunday.

I have this forum. "Whatcha readin'? *sigh* People keeping using the forum's rate/review comment area to rate/review the item they're reading. Seriously, people. It's a forum. Use the link that says: "Post a new message." If they weren't rating my item with a review of someone else's... That might be different. But, please, don't rate my item based on your review of someone else's work. Seriously.

Cuz I'm really, really annoyed. P.S. I added a message at the end of the forum intro that states the comment box is to review the FORUM and to add a comment use the "post a new message" and STILL people are using it to review, not the forum, but to comment on other's works. Pthb

I'm so ready for a 3 day weekend. Maybe I can sleep in for a change!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I made a post. I've had several thoughts about posts... Well we all know what they say about good intentions.

My new job has been going well. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are super slow and I get to read a good part of the day. I wish I had internet access at work... Oh well. I read 2 books at work last week. *Laugh*

My coworkers are big into vampire books. They've got me reading this series, Vampire Academy. It's actually not bad at all.

I am a little peeved though. They mixed up the 2nd and 3rd books, so I read book 3 after book 1 and then started book 2. *Rolleyes* I would have preferred to read the 2nd book before the 3rd, but what's done is done. I thought about skipping the 2nd book since I'm already past it, but I am curious to know what happened in between (though I already know the outcome).

We had a major storm last Monday night that did a lot of damage. Then it snowed on Thursday. It was in the 60's yesterday. *Laugh* We have the weirdest weather.

Anyway. Yeah.

Gosh, I've really been slacking on the ole blog.

Ever have communication issues with your boss/supervisor?

Well, we did an employee satisfaction survey back around Thanksgiving and the results finally are in.

It seems that a lot of people are complaining (or just stating) that there is a lack of communication with the supervisors/managers/leaders.

The CEO's solution?

Have a company wide series of meetings (the same 1 hr meeting all day so everyone has a chance to attend) to discuss the company's goals and strategies for 2010. This way no one can say that they aren't communicating their goals and objectives.

Never mind that that isn't what most people were talking about. Personally, I don't care what they're planning for the 3rd quarter. Me? I want to know what my goals for today are going to be! *Laugh*

Now for the kicker. This meeting was on Tuesday. I found out the meeting was on Tuesday... Tuesday when I walked through the door. Talked to several coworkers.

Guess what?

No one told anyone in our department that we were having a meeting.

Yeah. That's right. We had a meeting about communication due to lack of communication and no one communicated that we were having a meeting.

Is that classic or what?

172.  Petition to end winterID #685738
Posted: 1-29-2010 @ 11:07 am EST

I think I'll make a petition to end winter early this year. Anyone care to sign?

*Laugh*

It was close to 50 last week with rain. So being back down around 10 with lots of snow is really difficult. We no more than got rid of most of the snow when it came back. *Rolleyes*

I know it's still just January (for a few more days), but still, I've had enough of winter. I miss clean, dry roads and being able to see more than half a mile. I'm also quite sick of wearing coats. I don't know who decided to make the sleeves so long, but I'd have a thing or two to say to them!

Posted: 12-31-2009 @ 11:16 am EST

I can't believe the year is over already! How is it possible?

I've got a short day today. I have to work from 2-6. Hopefully it won't be too bad and the snow will hold off until I get home.

They say some areas may see over a foot of snow before the weekend is over.

I'm hoping there will be so much snow that I won't be able to go in on Monday...

What would be really nice is if they closed the roads down there so the company shut down but I could still go out up here! *Bigsmile*

It could happen.

169.  Snow!ID #678686
Posted: 12-4-2009 @ 12:10 pm EST

For those of you who don't know, I live in Michigan. So it can get pretty cold and we usually start getting snow in October/November. Well... We just got our first snow today. Okay, well sort of yesterday. It started snowing last night. *Rolleyes* Anyway. There was snow on the cars when I got home last night (around 12) but not on the ground. Well, there's snow on the ground this morning. I'm kinda excited. As long as it doesn't mess the roads up (too much), I enjoy the snow. It's so pretty!

Anyway. It was weird. It was flurrying a little bit on my way home. The road was just wet. It's a fairly heavily traveled highway, so the cars were keeping the snow off the road. Nonetheless, I got behind a sand/salt truck. *rolleye* So, he's dropping sand/salt on a wet road and I am kicking it up all over the bottom of my car!!! It kept pinging in a most annoying manner. *Angry* So I get into town and nothing there is salted and the snow is starting to stick after the rest of it melted and froze into ice. *exasperated sigh* So I started sliding just a little bit around the one corner and then I had trouble getting started at the light. I got stopped no problem, but then I couldn't get the traction I needed to go! *Laugh* But they salted the highway. Go figure.

Anyway. I had a nice 4 day weekend last week and I have tonight off too! *Blush* Two full weeks then another 4 day weekend followed by a 3 day weekend!

You have to love the holidays!
