I'm not actually looking for toilet paper because I know where to find it. I'm looking for a string of beads and I don't remember where I saw them last. I never find the item I'm looking for when I'm looking for something. Therefore, I just pick another item to look for, which I never find.
If I look for toilet paper, then I figure I have a good chance of finding the sting of beads. I know that sounds odd, but 99% of the time it works. Of course, there is always the chance that I will the item I've decided to look for. That's why I've decided to look for toilet paper. If I lose the toilet paper it doesn't matter because I can always go to the store and buy more. However, I can't buy another set of those beads because they were a gift.
I remember having the beads in the breakfast room, but I can't find them in there. That means I laid them down somewhere else. I'm sure there not in the obvious places because I've looked in all those places and can't find the beads. I know I'll eventually find them, however, I want them now and not next week or next month.
