The Writings Of A Lady Pirate
by Angel
Rated: E | Book | Other | #1910887
The adventures of Kat Von.

*Skull*Yo-Ho-Ho a bottle of rum and a pirate's life for me... Oh!
You there! This is the Captain's Quarters, are you lost?

(The woman sets down compass and takes her feet off of the desk)
You must be the new recruit. I'm Captain Kat Von and this is my ship Fortune's Folly.
She may not be the sturdiest or best looking, but she's the fastest in these waters.
(Kat looks around the room, fondly touching the smooth, dark wood)
Being a pirate isn't all about plundering cities and finding treasure.
It's about making a name for yourself so that you will be remembered,
About sailing the seas, riches, and feeling both alive and free.*Skull*

*Skull*All you have to do is prove yourself to be a loyal part of the crew,
We will be leaving Tortuga within a few days and heading to open seas.
(Kat takes in a deep breath of salty sea air)
Before we leave you will have to swear to the oath as will the others.
No one can become a pirate, they must be born with the courage and spirit.
For we are not just simply murders and thieves... We are pirates!*Skull*

Fantasy Debate
You will never walk again, but I can teach you how to fly.~ A Dance With Dragons

Ok, so even if no one reads this blog, I still enjoy posting away.
Me and my brother have been having a debate about which author is better, George R.R. Martin or J.R.R. Tolkien. I respect Tolkien and all since he's the one who pretty much created the fantasy genre, but his books are just to hard to read, you have to have a dictionary at hand to look up a word every five minutes! I didn't even make it through the first book, though the movies where fantastic. But, since Tolkien was a linguist before he became a writer, he created some of the language that the characters speak in, which makes it even harder to understand, also all of his characters are to noble, there's no middle ground in those books, either your good or your bad, plain and simple. George R.R. Martin on the other hand is an amazing writer, his characters are realistic and in some ways are easy to relate to, I like his characters better because the good guys are not always as good as they seem, and the bad guys are never as bad as they seem. He creates a world like no other, with amazing characters and sweeping landscapes, plus no one writer a better battle scene than him, but its also great because not only is he fantasy but he also throws in lots of medieval history. Plus there are so many characters in Martins books, but there's always a twist with at least one of them. Although Tolkien is PG and Martin is R. I blew through Martin's books as fast as I could get my hands on them, and I am on the last one right now A Dance With Dragons, though there are going to be at least two more*Smile*. So I rest my case, Martin is better than Tolkien.

The World As We Know It
I don’t suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

The universe is a endless expanse, no matter how much we think we know about everything that happens, we never really do. Even the smartest person in the world couldn't predict all that can happen. The building blocks off all that we know could be knocked down at any moment, things exist out there that our brains could never imagine. We live our lives day to day, thinking there exciting and that we have it made, but we never do, for when our world seems magical its actually just a shadow being cast over our eyes to make us see something that isn’t real.

The possibilities are endless, they are sending people into space and thinking that there is other life forms on other planets but the reason that we already know there are is the fact that they have never tried to contact us. They would probably be ashamed of how petty we act and how much we fight each other when we should be working together to help the world that is so rapidly decaying. If we ever have to live on another planet, that will be the saddest day because it means that the humans will find another beautiful thing that they can somehow destroy.

Magic is everywhere in our world, yet we never truly see it because our minds refuse to see something that shouldn't be there. Children are the only ones who still believe in magic because they do not know better, their minds are still innocent and pure. So many people talk about how God has deserted them when he hasn’t. He created us, so is it not up to us to do the rest, we constantly ask God for help when he’s probably sick of it because we always get ourselves into these things.

I hope that there are more intelligent life forms out there than us so that they can take over when we eventually destroy ourselves which we are sure to do. I do feel sorry for the future generations that have to live in all the messes that we have made.

This place is so weird that the cockroaches have moved next door.

The Good And Bad
Every swordsman should study cats, their as quiet as shadows and as light as feathers.~ Arya Stark

Well, the main reason that everybody is inherently is because that its nature. I believe that everyone was born with bad and good in them, all equal, but its up to that person which path that they want to take. A person can do something bad and people will say that they didn't think that that person could do somehting like that, but the truth is that anyone of us could do something like that. But it's up to us to go with the good part instead of the bad one.

Homecooking
A mind needs books like a sword needs a wetstone.~ Tyrion Lannister

There has always been something about a homecooked meal that I just love, although it is mostly the eating part, I also love the way that it makes the kitchen smell. All warm and cozy like.

Poem Of The Day
For when crows feast, many are the guests, but few survive.~ A Feast Of Crows~ George. R.R. Martin

Whenever the storms will come,
An old soul walks the earth.
When the wind will blow,
He moves restlessly.
Time makes the ages fly by,
But he shall never go to a grave.
As rain makes the world clean,
Tears wash away his pain.
As a rainbow brightens the day,
A smile lights up his face.

Just about anything funny makes me laugh. Especially the sarcastic kind of funny.

The New Media
Every man can die.~ Arya Stark

Hmm... I am currently working on a new book. The idea: there is a myth that somewhere underground in Mexico there is a secret facility where lots of valuables and One-hundred million dollars are stored. But the myth turns out to be true and four aspiring thiefs go after it.

Wow, another great prompt! I love Opinion Thursdays. Personally, I don't care much for Facebook or Twitter, but lots of people do. However though I do believe that just because we have so many other ways of communication, should not stop us from having a good old conversation face to face. Although it is a great new way to make friends.

Sacrifice
When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives~ George R.R. Martin~ A Game Of Thrones

Is there anybody that I would take a bullet for? Yes,I would take a bullet for my brother, mom, or dad. I believe that I would take a bullet for any person if they were not ready to die. Though not many people are prepared to die. But if a person was in that position, I would take a bullet for them, not matter who the person was.
