What a dumb title for a person who never got a single star on her piano lessons!

Daily practice is the thing though: the practice of noticing as well as of writing.

However, I'd much rather play duets than solos, so hop right in! You can do the melody or the base part, I don't care. Just play along--we'll make up the tune as we go.

I'll try to write regularly and deliberately. Sometimes I will do it poorly, tritely, stiltedly, obscurely. I will try to persevere regardless. It seems to be where my heart wants to go, and that means to me that God wants me there too.

At my house (I cannot speak for the various religious institutions a I do not attend them) we cook egg dishes as they promote fertility of all types. We laugh and enjoy picnics or just sit on the porch and enjoy the newly cut grass smells wafting in from all the nearby yards. Since we just moved, I must admit that I'm speculating on this year's pursuits but I see no reason for it to be very different from years past. This year, we will add one other thing to the menu. As Worldwide Pinhole Photography day also falls on Easter day, we will be having a photographic expedition as well. More importantly, we enjoy each other.

Was it a retro ad? Working on nostalgia? Still, whatever prompts writing is good.

Yep, chocolate eggs and bunnies is about as much as anyone here associates with Easter.

Part of the reason I dislike these holidays so much, especially that C one...only a few months and they'll be flaunting it again. AHHHHH

All the various Evangelist churches my sister and family have attended for the last 30 years do not seem to have these problems. In France, the Catholic churches are deserted. Signs of the times, I guess.

Since the iPad came out, I've wanted one. Pierre played a wonderful Santa this year. BUT, what interested/s me the most about it is the iBook feature, which makes reading such a pleasure. I do not intend to use this in public so we didn't bother about the GS. Free WiFi is common here but I don't need to be connectable to internet at EVERY minute of the day! For that I have my iPhone, but reading a book on its tiny screen was for the birds, even though I've done so for over a year now. So I'd say your son doesn't need a Kindle with GS. And here in France it is indeed an extra monthly cost. But that's just my opinion based on how I personally use my Apple appliances.

It's worrying when doctors say those things, but at least she's being thorough and will hopefully sort things out soon.

I so admire the work you do; it must be very upsetting at times. Hoping your new patient will bring you some reward for all your dedication.

I've not used a Kindle but hear good reports of them. I have to say I'm liking my iPad more and more, although they are a lot more expensive than Kindles.

I realised a while back I was wasting too much time on FB games, so decided to give them up. I still feel short of time, but relieved by the pressure of not having to keep up on there.

They weren't screaming at each other, just at the dogs, who continued to bark at us. It's a technique that obviously doesn't work, but people continue to use it. Me too sometimes. Stupid.

The family was actually nice, and had been taking care of this adult son for several years, without much sense of hygiene I guess. They were just poor and had lots of people living in the house together, plus pets.

How can one go to help a group of people supposedly in mourning and find them screaming at each other, obviously riling to dogs to barking? I think I would have simply walked away from them and left them to their bickering. Doesn't seem like they needed a sense of calm to get on with their grief! I hope your presence had them automatically checking themselves, and the group calmed down - although many people don't mind an audience when they hang out their dirty laundry in public...
