They know they can depend on you, but I think it was unfair that first you thought you'd be teaching maybe twenty student and it turned out to be so much more. The pressure was on and then when they changed your presentation on you....well I don't blame you for feeling flustered. From what you said, it appears that she didn't even let you know of the changes until the last minute either.
You did well though and managed it just fine. Good job. I'm not sure I would have handled it so well because for one thing I'd be totally ticked off that she'd change anything that drastically and then expect you to be ready for it.
My husband has often said, if it weren't for stupid people he wouldn't have as many machines to repair. When it comes to computers, somehow, there seem to be more of them out there.
She's a can be a real control freak sometimes but most of the time, she is a great person. She's the Volunteer Coordinator at Rutgers Gardens. Thanks to her, I've made some good friends and gotten involved in some really worthwhile projects. Which is why I didn't kill her. I just complained to everyone who would listen.
There are two major points here on which you and I agree. I have never gone to a gym, have missed out on all that comraderie and EXERCISE...and I turn off the radio before the pres comes on. Can't take hearing his voice.
Hope you find a new gym. Hope the country finds a new president.
Especially some ego-maniac who thinks her way is best. What was she thinking?! She's an idiot in my book. I would clearly have throttled her for you. I am glad for your last paragraph, knowing the audience hung with you helps.
Too funny! I can visualize that. Kittys running back and forth, confused about which had top priority.
About the change in hours--gosh, I can only imagine how confused your body is since you were use to sleeping at other hours.
I did graveyard shift before. It pays really well, but it took about two hours before I could get to sleep after coming home, then I had to be up to take care of things at home and my family. You know, cooking, cleaning, etc. I started worrying whether or not my family was being neglected, but somebody had to work and pay the bills.
The good thing was that my schedule was one of those two days on/three days off and then three days on/two days off. The problem was that it meant I never really got 40 hrs a week in, if I remember right. Therefore there was no such thing as "overtime".
oh yeah and more "good" news. I found out my rent has gone up 300 more dollars. I am documenting my income and hoping they made a mistake. Otherwise I'm not sure how I will get by. I will somehow but still it's really making me stressed out.
I spent all day, going out of town, where the social security office is, and getting nowhere but then they sent me to another office I had to walk to and get in before they closed. I had ten minutes to do that. Finally, supervisor helped me so I have documents now and went home. Same thing..bus, train, bus and no bus. Had to walk home. I"d just sit around the house tomorrow if I could so I can recuperate, but I can't I have two appointments --one in town, another not too far away. Besides one is a physical therapy session. yesssss
Then Friday is another appointment. My god..what a busy week!
Jeez. You'd think the plumber would have known to put the "drop leg" in or umm..make sure it had one? I have no clue what it is.
Well, surely he was make good on it, but does that mean that this guy has to come out again and re-inspect it? Is there a time limit or an extra charge for him having to come out again? It's not your fault if this guy forgot something.
I"m having my own week or surprises going on. My son threw the tv remote control toward where I was sitting and I was not watching and it smacked into my cheekbone and now I have a blackeye. Talk about stupid moves. I've been a bit ticked off even though it was an "accident".
The other thing is I had to bus and take train to San francisco to have that place look at my broken tooth. Two men inspected it, then wanted me to sign a paper saying they weren't responsible for the damage, then they'd pull it. Umm. If they aren't guilty then why should I have to sign a paper like that? I do believe that that "accident' that happened last year is why that tooth was broken anyway. They said no.
Then they sent me to the university dentist school across town, which they should have told me they were already closed for the day. I came back the next day and got in and also had a few people inspect my mouth, and we decided that it had to be pulled but by the time they got through heehawing around, it was too late and all the tooth pullers must have went home.
They they sent me to the hospital ER on campus saying they'd send a on call dentist down there to extract it. I sat there waiting over for an hour. I started getting nervous and talked to the front desk who informed me that they'd not pull it that day anyway but only give me pain medication. ANd besides that it would be several more hours before I'd even get seen. So I'm thinking..okay, I should probably leave and why the hell did they live to me?
I get on a bus so that I'd not miss the train, and then the other bus which would take me home. Well guess what? I got on the WRONG bus! WE got to the end of the line and I said..so where's the BART train at? ER...wrong bus lady. Luckiley I got on another bus going the other way and found the train, boarded it, but then had to walk part of hte way home and it was late and rather chilly out too. I didn't die from it.
I called the implant office, which is where they do extractions. What I did find out is that if I came the next day I had to go through another separate processing with the implant office first, so they too could examine my mouth, then come back another day. OH JEEZ.
That next morning, I said to heck with this shit man. I have things to do at home. and if they aren't even going to extract it and I have to come back again, then I won't get anything done at home.
I'm a lazy gardener. I discovered that leaves make an excellent mulch, so I stopped raking in the fall and leave the leaves in the gardens. Bye bye weeds and no shovelling mulch.
