Withdrawal in fear a gentle touch
Of true belief in thoughts long lost.
Climbed the sheer cliff to be with you.
Never questioning it's cost.

My rumbling heart held in God's loving touch
To live with you, to be with you, to hold you such.
All time is yours master mistress I prepare
To wash my hands and face to hold you dear.

In a fragile space where I see your angle face
The stallions run through a nectar sweet
A place safe from fear, you stand intimate there.
Angles cherish your love, holding gently your hair.

Take me now, all that I am,
Broken in pieces, I plead for your hand.
No peace is left, without you, that I've met.
This place where warm sun shine arms me in wealth.

You make me fortunate;
Pretty woman you are my sun.

"After saying this, what can we add? With God on our side, who can be against us? Since God did not spare his own Son, but gave him up to benefit us all. After such a gift we can be certain that he will not refuse anything he can give. Could anyone accuse those who God has chosen? When God acquits can anyone condemn? Could Christ Jesus? No! For he not only died for us-he rose from the dead and there at Gods right hand he stands and pleads for us.

Nothing therefore can come between us and Christ, Even if we are troubled or worried, or being persecuted, or lacking food or clothes, or being threatened or even attacked. As scripture promised: "For your sake we are being massacred daily and being reckoned as sheep for the slaughter." These are the trials through which we triumph, by the power of him who loved us.

For I am certain of this: Neither death nor life, no angle, no prince, nothing that exists, nothing still to come, not any power or height or depth, nor any created thing, can ever come between us and the love of God made visible in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Is a reading I've been asked to read at Mass on December 10th to celebrate what is called a Fifth Day reflection. It being one of the truly life changing pieces of text I've been blessed to adopt to my personal mantra.

Whoever may be reading these words, I wish you the peace of Christ. And that you show kindness and love to the hurting people in your life; including you.

"Love has no pride
When I call out your name.
Love has no pride
When there's no one left to blame,
And I'd give anything
To see you again.
If I could buy your love
I would try for it,
And if I could pray
It would never end.
I'd fall down on my knees
Begging for you
To come back to me.
Love has no pride
When I call out your name.
Love has no pride there's
Only myself to blame.
But I'd give anything
To see your again.
Yes, I'd give anything
To see you again."

Slumping head as
Tears fall to my feet
Freely from my eyes.
The thrill is gone.

There are absolutes in life
There are blatant tangible facts that are glaringly apparent.

I am at this moment penning you these words. I can't say that I'm in the wilds of Africa hunting, because that would be deceptive, as well as blatantly untrue.

If I say that I am hunting in Africa, when in fact I am sitting here, then I am being deceptive. I am being dishonest. I am lying.

I would not do that. I would not be deceptive in my life because the value of life is honesty. "The truth will set you free."

Being dishonest is a slimy slippery slope. It is dark, truly to it's core. Once adopted, lying becomes a dark shroud to live from under. Becoming so gripped in deception that there's a misguided belief the lies are true. Even forgetting where in the web of lies they are, and what the last lie was concerning the topic.

Dredged

Time spent in one more abandon,
Familiar dredged up past of need.
An angry belly groans loud when empty.
Lost knowledge known to know, or heed.

Rebellion waged through tears and hurt
In my worn out hat and shoes.
So lonely without friendship.
Solitude this world alone makes destitute.

This life I've traded handed in.
I weep for sweetness gone in me.
My love story gone de-throwned
Alone to dwell on past not met to hone.

I'm finished living sorted sadness
Branded heart like none to know.
Life essence scored in wait and madness
Bored hole in the belt thinness will moan.

Goddess love
You need not fret
Thoughts rare precious
None but you inflect.

Sky light beams
From your essence roamed.
From your essence seen
Essence known.

In glee fulfilled
Life's union longed;
Summed from bright,
Deep depths unknown.

Where passions bits
Meld and mix
That warm glow,
The majesty your soul.

Love once known
Summoned forth to praise.
Calmed in care for another wave;
Carried weightless through.

Great doors of marble
With sky of blue
With faint cirrus,
Shared in joy.

Ecstasy called
True bliss.
I surrender slave to
Your wishes, my life.

Passions love
To kiss, to hold in
Times waged
with each.

The others
Life giving half.
Lives joy in delight
Always you.

That rumbling passage through Everest rages every inch shaking and violent movement in complete darkness. Resolute to the journey, accepting it's consequences, its totality.

"So the opposite of worry and fear is to seek God - not an anxious seeking but a joyful, trusting seeking, like a child playing hide-and-seek with a parent. Seek first God's kingdom. I love this promise from God: "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you" (Jer. 29:12 - 14). God longs to be found, like a mother playing with her child. God deeply desires to listen to us, to be discovered by us. When we do discover him, discover that deep relationship of love, we will find that it satisfies us in a way that stuff never can. We will realize we have enough if we have God.

So how do we live a simple life? Seek first God's kingdom, seek to live according to his ways. In other words, walk humbly with God, and all your other priorities will fall into line. This is not a one-time deal. It's a constant journey. Keep seeking God. Seek his kingdom, his will, his love, every day. Seek and you will find. You'll not only find God; you'll find that you have more than enough. "

- Keri Wyatt Kent - Simple Compassion
