| What a busy month November turned out to be... |

| Hi blog readers. For anyone not on planet Earth in November... It was NaNoWriMo. (National Novel Writing Month) I ended the push with 50,189 words, (Target is 50k +) and as it was my first - I am exhausted. Well done to all that participated, even if you didn't reach the 50k! You did write more than you would have done if you hadn't taken part.  I was also very pleased to receive an e-mail to tell me I had won something else... Best member to member poetry reviews for October 2012 from "RISING STARS--HISTORY & OVERVIEW" Thank you WDC Groups 1930968  and Gabriella  Also a big thank you to A.T.B: Quills★1376303  for providing the wonderful MB that comes with the award.Please don't forget that the "Annual Christmas Auction-Raffle" will end on Sunday 9th December. (1st - 30th November) My daily word count and running total: Day 1: 2,088 - 2,088 Day 2: 2,195 - 4,284 Day 3: 1,668 - 5,952 Day 4: 894 - 6,846 Day 5: 0 - 6,846 (Day off) Day 6: 3,162 - 10,008 Day 7: 0 - 10,008 Day 8: 3,717 - 13,725 Sorry, I forgot to update this as I have been using the W.Com NaNoCounter... | Hello Blog readers! November 1st started with a beautiful e-mail and a Merit Badge. I would like to give a huge thank you to "The WDC Angel Army" for this award!  It was totally unexpected and really made my day/week/month/?? Then I managed to slowly make my way through the remainder of my e-mail, and had another nice surprise! | Hi. All the previous mentions of an off site project can now be revealed to all. http://www.fictionandverse.com "Invalid Item" "We also aim to place a spotlight on self-published authors. Their wonderful novels and collections are often over looked. We endeavor to find these gems, and bring them to your attention by laying down a challenge to their Authors. This challenge can be found in our ’The Hook’ section on our site." That is where I step in with my talented assistant wizzie - new life chapter  .I look forward to reading a lot of first chapters from members here that have gone down the self-published route. I hope to spotlight gripping first chapters and give it the exposure a good novel will need to succeed. The first chapter (Prologue may be added) should 'hook' the reader into wanting to read more. I am pleased that we have already posted some chapters and look forward to posting many more. Unfortunately, I have also had to reject some submissions. I didn't realize how hard it is to send a rejection letter ~ but the chapter has to hook me into reading more... I look forward to seeing many submissions from W.Com members. Regards, Sisco.

| Hello readers... First of all, "I Write in June-July-August " has finally finished for me. A big thank you to Giselle  for getting me to write something every week for the past 13 weeks. Well I did miss one week, but I was ending an auction and reviewing all the entries for my "Newbies ONLY Short Story & Poem Contest" so I don't feel to guilty. I managed to get a one year premium membership renewal, due to the generosity of the wonderful people on here! Thank you all that helped - I know who you are... I have also been working on an off site project that will be announced on here soon. I am looking forward to that. You can expect some news next month, so watch this space!Well I guess that is about it for now, except I am looking forward to the W.Com birthday celebrations over the next few weeks. | Hello World... Just an update to get Giselle off my back for a post for the "I Write in June-July-August " I have been amazed and almost reduced to tears with the generosity show to me when I announced I couldn't afford my membership renewal in time for September. The raffle is going quite well "Raffle to Help Sisco keep his membership" and that has raised 73k for me so far.I have not just been amazed at my W.Com friends generosity ~ I have had donations from people that I do not know... It all goes to show what a fantastic group of members we have on here. I am more accustomed with giving or helping to raise funds for others, at least now I know how other members must feel when they are helped out with upgrades etc... It makes it even more special to me now when dealing with RAOK upgrade requests... To know how grateful a feeling it is to receive help from our members. I would love to single out members to thank, but that would be impossible. Every donation or raffle ticket bought means just as much, irrespective of value. So I'd like to say to all of you that help, and those that would like to ~ but can't, THANK YOU FROM MY HEART!  Regards, Sisco K

| Hi readers. This has been a very busy week for me. First of all. I was made a leader of the "Let's help each other grow- Newbie Group" .I am so pleased to be able to work with such a wonderful group. My July "Newbies ONLY Short Story & Poem Contest" ends on Sunday for judging so lots of reviews still to do...I am working on something else that I can't mention just yet... And then I realized I hadn't written anything for "I Write in June-July-August " so ran to this blog to kill two birds with one post.(I promised myself I would do an entry per week if I could!) My 84 hour raffle was a huge success so a big thank you to all that participated! Don't forget "Sisco's GOOD DEED Annual Pirate Auction!" will end on Sunday 29th at 17:59 WDC time. | Hello Readers... I have had a go at making my own website using WordPress. If you want a look go to: http://siscotheauthor.com I've had several tries before with different website makers, but found WordPress easy to understand and work with. If you want to try making one yourself, WordPress is free with the following sitebuilder: http://www.gotonames.com/ You have to pay for a domain name (Your choice) but it only costs about $10. With that you get a free hosting service and WordPress or any other choice of website builders they offer. This is only recommended by me because I have tried it and use it with no glitch. Do beware it takes about 10 minutes for it to update the servers, so don't do as I did ~ Email them asking why I had a message saying it was unsuccessful ~ They emailed me back within the hour and asked if I had waited the 10 minutes for the server to update.  I was impressed that at 2am I got such a prompt reply! If you want a totally free site-builder, then I would recommend the following: http://www.webs.com/ It is free and you will have a webs address, mine is: http://sisco.webs.com/ If you just want to have a Blog, then again I can recommend: http://www.blogger.com Mine is located here if you want to see what it looks like. http://siscok.blogspot.co.uk/ Well I hope that helps someone looking to set up your own site and have your own little web presence before you publish that bestseller! | Hello Bloggers... Well there isn't a load to say, but as I've had a few blog views I guess I should put up an update. My auction "Sisco's GOOD DEED Annual Pirate Auction!" has began to take bids. I have had some wonderful members donate GPs and fantastic packages.I would like to thank them all ~ they know how much I appreciate their efforts. (I hope they do!) There is still room for more packages and any donations/GPs received will help groups on W.Com. I don't know if I should mention it, as it sounds like boasting... I was awarded "#1 Encourager of the week" from a group I belong to.
This is a fantastic support group for members and families/friends of people with any mental health issues.
