Here's the boring stuff, a bunch of statistics:*Yawn*
I took my first breath in November of 1973.
I graduated high school in May, 1992 and met my future wife earlier that same year.
I attended college, but earned no degree.
My wife and I were married in November, 1997 and parted in November, 2007.
As for myself, I've no intent to seek other relationships. When I took the vows, I meant them.
I joined WDC in May of 2006 and was named a PA in 2007 (much to my surprise.)
Peruse my work and enjoy. I'll post on it and current projects in later entries.

109.  On My AbsenceID #751521
Posted: 4-23-2012 @ 8:10 am EDT

Early on in this past Lenten season, I was inspired to give up facebook games by the fact that my mother had done so. For me, this grew to become a near complete drop of all internet activity. So today, two weeks after Easter, I've come back to WDC knowing that my membership would have expired soon if I didn't extend it. My Mailbox is a mess as you can imagine. Back to clean-out.

Posted: 1-15-2012 @ 12:59 pm EST

Yesterday, after three days of communications isolation, I was able to return to the internet. My modem shot craps wednesday evening and took my phone service with it. How annoying! Since I don't have a cell phone, I had to report the problem from my mother's phone thurs morning.

The tech arrived at 8AM Sat morning as promised and tried out 2 modems before finding one that did the job. The wonders of technology!

Part 2 of a series of adventure shorts.

Part 2 of my adventure series is finished and parts 1 and 2 are in a new folder marked The Quest. While both parts take place in a small town, part 3 will have the group finally stepping foot into the wilderness.

The knight's been away a long time and his castle has gathered cobwebs in the rafters. I found my way back though and offer this piece of holiday humor for your approval...or disapproval

105.  A series!ID #731779

I have begun work on a string of adventure shorts which will be a sort of travelog. While true adventure has not yet begun, the first story focuses on the meeting of the four near strangers who will undertake these adventures. Admittedly, the characters are taken from classic table gaming, but I will try to make there adventures as uniquely enjoyable as possible. Enjoy!

104.  Back to the KitchensID #727985

For the first time in a good long while, I've returned to WDC. I have a post to add which may be found in my kitchen section for pickling spices. While I did not originally intend to create my own mix. Sometimes necessity leads us to the greatest dicoveries of our own prowess. I invite you to take down the recipe for your own use.

103.  Good news and badID #719783
Posted: 3-14-2011 @ 4:52 pm EDT

It's been a while since I made an entry here. I really need to be more active. As the title implies, I have good news and bad.

The good news is that yesterday I became a Third Degree Knight of Columbus. Those of you who are knights or know a knight know what this means. In any case, I cannot tell you. It was quite the ceremony just in size alone. Over 80 Knights took the Third Degree yesterday and the hall was quite crowded. This number does NOT count those conferring the honor nor those on hand as spectators who had already received the title.

The bad news is that I lost an aunt this morning. I knew her well enough and I knew that she had lately been suffering Alzhimer's disease. Having seen the effect the disease has on not only its victim but also those connected to him/her, I believe it's probably better for all involved. That doesn't make it any easier for anyone though.

101.  Learning from failureID #716688
Posted: 1-28-2011 @ 10:45 am EST

Nothing teaches less than a true success. From our failures, we improve. This applies to all aspects of life whether it comes from a writing endeavor, business venture, or even love. Love, though, proves the most painful of all failures and leaves the sour tint of disappointment and regret. To my WDC friends, learn from all failures as I learn from mine. My world changes yet again. Sometimes I hate the learning process.

100.  My absence and my lifeID #711439
Posted: 11-15-2010 @ 10:53 am EST

I've been gone a while, but I haven't forgotten you. I've become involved in other things, some of which have given me inspiration. Even so, this idea is very nebulous and needs outlining.

My last entry here was recounting of a distasteful event in my life. Recently, my mother bought me a new TV as a gift for both my birthday and Christmas. It may be slightly smaller, but the picture quality is actually better. Either that or being stuck with an old, bulbous TV that took 15 sec to straighten out every time I turned it on made me REALLY appreciate HD.

This week, I'm participating in the Nielson Media survey. It's the first time I've taken strict note of everything I watch an when I watch it. If the Nielson company ever calls and asks you to do this, go for it. It's actually pretty fun!

On WDC, I've added 3 months with GPs I already had on hand. I'm all but broke now, but I won't let 100 pieces disappear. I'll be around for a while!
