I am a professional musician  , worship leader  , small business owner  , and freelance writer   with a chemical engineering degree  . But that's just my resume; my profile of qualifications is only one of the ways in which I am unique. Here I chronicle my personal and professional goals and my efforts to achieve them. Occasionally I fail. Mostly, I take daily baby steps toward all my long-term goals. Much like the stories I pen, the songs I compose, and the businesses I run, I am always a work in progress.

Write one new original song per month.
In progress, working on "Invalid Item . It's hard to do at my Monday/Tuesday store, because the crowd is light, and I'm highly amplified. In contrast, my Thursday-Saturday store is typically crowded, and the manager always turns my volume way down, so I can get away with muttering, humming, and otherwise trying things out! I'm working there tomorrow this week (because I'm pre-empted Saturday for the OSU/Michigan game), so I may get the chance to work on it.

Write new lyrics once per day through November.
Fail.

Earn at least $60 per pay period at Textbroker.
In progress. I completed an article this morning worth $7.99. I think it was four minutes late, and I'm not even sure how I managed that, because I thought the article would automatically get snagged out of my queue at the deadline. Pthb The article I signed up for this morning has a five-day deadline, which is much better than those stupid 24-hour varieties.

Current Balance: $17.70, with $7.99 pending client acceptance. Due date: 11/20/09. I think I need to work faster. *Rolleyes*
