I am a professional musician  , worship leader  , small business owner  , and freelance writer   with a chemical engineering degree  . But that's just my resume; my profile of qualifications is only one of the ways in which I am unique. Here I chronicle my personal and professional goals and my efforts to achieve them. Occasionally I fail. Mostly, I take daily baby steps toward all my long-term goals. Much like the stories I pen, the songs I compose, and the businesses I run, I am always a work in progress.

Breaking news from CNN:
Lawmakers pass bill extending unemployment benefits by up to 20 weeks. Legislation also extends homebuyer tax credit into next year.

"The closely watched legislation would extend jobless benefits in all states by 14 weeks. Those that live in states with unemployment greater than 8.5% would receive an additional six weeks."

and, more importantly to me personally:

"The legislation also would extend the $8,000 homebuyer tax credit to contracts signed by April 30 and closed by June 30. The controversial credit, which many say has boosted home sales in recent months, was set to expire after Nov. 30."

This will help Keith and me sell our homes! *Delight* I was getting nervous about that Nov. 30 deadline.

Read a book in print for fifteen minutes every day.
Not yesterday, but I analyzed another Sponge Bob episode this morning. Most of the time, the antagonist is internal, like "Greed," or "A Guilty Conscience." Also, "Coincidental Circumstance" causes many of the plots. That would be a fun one to write about in the Prep.
