Building a backyard pond is challenging on many levels. The thought of having a peaceful and attractive addition to ones back yard makes it very tempting to consider constructing one. |

I used a Palm Pilot years ago to write down poems and ideas for poems. They've remained untouched for a long time and I found the text file I dumped from the PDA and have begun to go through the poems and see if there are any worth keeping. I've already found a couple of 'forgotten gems'. |

Writing provides catharsis. Writing about the stressful events and times provides an opportunity to get it out of your system. Even if you don't feel like sharing with others the very act of getting it 'down on paper' can help deal with the daily emotional owies. Let Mommy kiss it and make it better. |

I wish I could devote a lot of time to writing but unfortunately it's one of those things I have to steal time for from other 'more important things'. It's like taking a drink from that big aluminum can on the back of my grandpa's farm truck after I'd been on the tractor for half a day. |
