Because he writes so clearly, although the subject matter may be on the deep side, the translations of his books are good in almost any language. I read the Alchemist in another language and it was great.

Unless, you've seen the actual book at a book store, such a high price could be due to print-on-demand function of e-books. Some people insist on paper copies.
To answer your earlier question, I get most of my links from Power Reads, and Pixel of Ink.

Giselle, you might as well give in and get the Kindle app. There are many good e-books to read in the Amazon library with a lot of them free or at a reasonable price.

My five, for instance, are only $3.99 each or free if you're an Amazon Prime member. Another benefit for members is FREE shipping no matter the size of your order. Since Amazon gets most of my "disposable" income, I can then buy the more expensive cat food.

You know, I don't read books on my computer, too, but I have the app only for books that have instructions with images mostly in color or charts, like Yoga, cooking, etc.
I use Kindle (3rd generation) only for reading, not for games, music or anything else, although it has the capability. I also have Kindle Fire, but I don't like it. It is too slow to load and heavy to carry.

Joy, I downloaded it and will boot up my Fire later today to begin reading it. The last time I tried to download her e-book, it got caught when a Kindle update started. Afterwards, all that showed was a zero percent download.

Have you checked out my author's page on Facebook? Having one of these really did help people find my Kindle e-books faster. All mine can be rented for free if an Amazon Prime member like I am.

I quickly discovered Mara's opening to her e-book doesn't gently pull readers into the story. Those few paragraphs drag them in and make them want to, no, insists they keep reading. I just wish I could write half as great as she does and haven't been able to put my Kindle Fire down for the last hour. In fact, I completely forgot my lunch was in the microwave and blame the smoke coming out of the kitchen on Mara's talent. Somebody better tell her she owes me a TV dinner. (laughing)

That is awesome! I am close to 33,000 myself. Not even remotly close to publishable, but I believe the idea is to force the words down so the ideas can be sifted out in later edits. (My first NaNo, am I right?)It's been fun, even missing clumps of hair.

Thanks, guys. Smile
Jimminy, I bet all NaNo stories have clumps of hair missing. *Laugh* This is my third Nano. After each one I got so sick of the stories that I haven't touch them for revision or anything. I bet that will be the case again. Revision has never been my forte! *Blush*

I hear you there! *Laugh* I am promising myself I will try to put the book down for the month of December, so the race is on for me to get as much of this thing committed to "print" as possible. best of luck with the rest of your novel and congrats on taking it this far!

I was wondering. Could you direct me on how to start listening to classical music. My music-taste is far from it, but I've always been kind of fascinated by the classical composers. Maybe if you could tell me, where to start??

Hi, Brido.
I'm no expert to teach listening music to anyone, but I'd say start with short pieces that are pleasing to your ears. Then go on to the longer ones, then to symphonies, which are novels compared to short stories. Listen regularly and you'll get the hang of it. Btw, NPR radios have good quality, varied music. Smile

I do not scribble rules. I ponder over them, figuring out how best to break them. Then my timidness gets in the way and I don't dare.

But in passing, I leave a message of Peace and Joy.
