Interesting argument on a local radio station. Is it wrong for husbands to celebrate only their actual mothers and not their wives on Mother's Day? That role should be left up to their children and not them (the husbands). It's not 'Wifey Day' it's 'Mother's Day', so their mothers should be getting all the attention. Valid argument or doesn't hold water?

Kiyasama, you ay want to check your facts again. There has been a witness who saw Trayvon on top of zimmerman and the police did look at his head and also stated seeing blood covered face upon arrival on scene.

Kiyasama,This is the problem with many people who convict before the facts come in. You have done this to zimmerman and so have millions but the prosecutor and State Attorney who authorize arrest warrents said NO!!!!! Why??????? because there wasn't suffiecent evidence to get a conviction, but people like you refuse to believe or listen because in your LINE OF THINKING HE IS GUILTY. Well in mind he is INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

Clothing does matter. I live in this area where the kid was killed and after 57 years can say without a doubt, the majority of kids who commit these crimes are wearing hoodies and will attack for no reason at all. Zimmerman may have been actually walking back to his SUV when the kid jumped out from his hiding place & decked him in the nose, then began to smash his head into the sidewalk.

Hmmm...I wonder if most Americans realize that we still have the cheapest gas prices compared to many other developed nations? My sister in London would happily move down here if only to stop paying upwards of $7 per gallon, and I'm sure the folks in Norway would be glad to trade their $9.90/gallon prices for ours. Still...I would do anything to trade in my Infiniti for a more fuel-efficient vehicle. *sigh* Being broke sucks!

I'm with ya fyn- Some cars are to expensive. I rather get a walk and see the green scenery of spring air with fresh scenery. To me I rather ride a bycyle to work since it isn't to far to enjoy. I still can drive a jeep to work but when the weather is good why not think of the ways to spend less on newer cars and invest with energy solution and new methods to help the decreese of Global meltdown and climate.

When the Earth's climate is hotter like it's doing significantly, because we contaminate the air with pollution causing more ice to melt, which is the earth's only (cooling method)way the Earth cools itself, it's better to invest the money to save or own human kind instead of metal being put together.

It's depressing to see the library no longer as important as it used to be. How is one to feel when you get there at 9 in the morning, only to see a sign saying 'due to limited resources, we are cutting down on our hours'. *sigh* I miss the days when I could get lost in the quiet room for hours on end with a good book between my hands.

sOur library is more crowded than ever, too. Unfortunately, they had to reduce the hours due to the economic crunch everywhere. Kindle books are not cheap, btw. The hardcover of White Teeth by Zadie Smith sells for $5.79, paperback 5.84, Kindle edition 11.99. I like Kindle because I can adjust the font size for my old eyes and no trees are cut, but for reference books, I still buy them in paper form, to search inside them without using electricity.

I agree. Our library is wonderful, but they cut the hours as well due to the budget. The weekend is killer because they don't open until 1pm and close at 6pm. Frown

Our library has hours the same as it always did, possibly because we have a two University's in our town plus a College nearby. Ours is open 9am-9pm, Sat and Sun a bit different. In the summer it's closed on Sundays, but the rest is the same.

sounds too scary. I keep all of my writings on my computer and use carbonite.com to be sure that I don't lose any writing or photos on my computer. I've never heard of anyone hacking into sites here at WDC yet. What I don't like is the fact that anyone can anytime copy/paste my writings right off the page...that disturbs me because unethical persons could steal the work of thers and print it in their country or state as if their own work. I wish that could be stopped.oo

Do you have all the letters in your scrabble game? If so, they are probably hidden. That's the only thing with these, lack of room when needed. Too bad there's not enough space to keep a total of points as one goes. Ah well!
