My new (refurbished) washing machine was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago... some baloney about it having to be special-ordered. Anyway, it's promised (again) for tomorrow, so fingers crossed! X X

I know how you feel. I ordered 2 books from Amazon for the 1st time (they refuse e-book downloads to people living in "Africa") and they were supposed to arrive 2 days ago. Considering the haphazard Egyptian postal system, I'm crossing my fingers that they get here at all. They're two books about plotting and screenwriting, and I really want them!
Come on washing machine & books!!!

I need to buy a new washing machine... been looking online for one that's not too expensive. Glad to see that they offer free shipping, cuz otherwise I wouldn't do it!

if it helps, the wife is a bit of an aficionado when it comes to household appliances. After tons of comparison research, she settled on Bosch... and after putting it thru the paces, absolutely swears by it. Reduces water/elect/detergent use pluw a number of features such as can detect coins in pockets, excessive dirt, etc... and the spin cycle drains so well it nearly dries clothes... saving drying time and expense. Good luck.

Going thru my port, deleting items, cuz I can't keep up w/ my upgrade. But I've saved them all, so they're not lost. But it still makes me sad to have to delete from this portfolio that I've had for so long.
