After a time, I came to the conclusion that I loved both Russell and myself too much to put us through a marriage that would end up being a mistake, but I've never stopped loving Russell and never will. Even now--as he has said about me--he has important real estate in my heart. I hope that I find out that, somehow, this isn't true, but so many things point to its being true while other things make me wonder. For whatever reason, he's either dead or needs people to believe that he is.
