Percy, when does the class begin, and, will there ever be a screenwriting class? Blessings, Bertie

Check the New Horizons Catalogue... We are finishing up with Winter Semester and I have been too busy to think about it. I haven't gotten around to writing the Screen Writing Course. The Exploratory Writing Workshop has worked out well and the School wants me to do it again in the Sring. Love to see you sign up.

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I'll be signing up for your class in New Horizon's. My focus has been short stories, mostly literary, and I just finished an Advanced Fiction course through Gotham. I think your workshop sounds like a lot of fun. Talk to you soon.

Dear Percy, of course I want to say hello, but I wanted you to know about the change that has taken place in my awareness. Before I took the class, I just watched movies like anybody else. Since I've taken the class I find that I watch movies noticing how they're made and what the script says as it progresses. I find that watching movies in this way opens them up in a new way for me. I am learning from them. It is because of the class. Just wanted you to know of the lasting impression.

Hi, Percy. I have finished my last draft and posted it in the Classroom. I tweaked some lines and hope that it is satisfactory.

Percy, I do not know if you recieved the notification I posted in my notebook, but I have moved my home over the past week, then I suffered a bout of tendonitis (I have carpal tunnel syndrom) I am back now, but with limitations. Please do not make the assumption that I have lost interest, far to the contrary. Thanks for understanding, Bertiebrite.

bertie,

I got your note. You can post to the classroom, in your port, your blog or anywhere you want. I try and keep an eye on the classroom. If you want to post elsewhere send me an email when you have it written and tell me where it is.

Percy, Would you please explain to me what constitutes a scene in a play, and how many scene changes can we have in one act? I want to revise my outline, but I need to know this information before I can do that. Thank you, Bertie

bertie,

A one act play ususally has three scenes. I liken them to the basic writing form... Beginning (Introduction) Middle (Body) and End.
Conclusion.) In the first scene you set up the drama, in the second you develop it and in the third you wrap it up. Somethimes a scene has more than one "scenes." It can start in the drawing room, pan to the kitchen and end up on the back porch. This works as long as the location has proximity.

Good Morning Mr. Goodfellow:

I have filled in my entry for today's blog, and I have a question. How do I make something my favorite and after I do, how do I access the favorite. Thanks

bertie,
On one of the class pages is an explanation for how to save and access favorite. I think its the classroom or group page.

Percy, sorry once more, but, only Upgraded and higher can blog or use journals :) Let me know if an outside blogging post counts, or if I can post something daily in my port for you to look at. Where there's a will, there's a way :)

Percy, now I know how to make a folder and how to delete a folder, but I lost your post for the outline in the process. I'm sorry to be such a pain in the dupa! Please send the outline to me again and the info attached. I promise I won't loose anything any more :)

Dear Percy,
I am one of those persons who needs to know how to create a folder. I have only a basic membership; I hope that it will not hinder my performance in class in any way. I thank you in advance for your help, Blessings, Bertie
