Isn't it sad when you write 20+ poems, then go back for revisions, and find every one of them complete crap? *sigh*

Does anyone know why I cannot respond to an e-mail using my iPad? I can use it for every other writing action here on WDC but responding to e-mails. All help appreciated.

I used to be able to when I used an iPad. WDC needs an app for the interface. I would try a reset and clearing of your browser and try again.

@alfredboothpoet on Twitter.
Every writer should belong there because the stupid 140 character limit is an excellent exercise in conciseness.

I think I'm following you now. I don't use twitter much for anything other than blog posts though, as I don't have it on my phone. :)

Don't usually like to plug, but in this case, since my P.(tree)Log is not my true blog, it won't show up on the general blog list here.

I felt like writing. The end is rough. I'll edit it tomorrow, but for those of you around and interested in my rusty poetry, here's a link:

I have more than one blog. Might want to link them... at the top and occasionally in the text. One does what one can.

Is anyone here writing for The River of Stones? If so, please send me your contact info so I can read them. I don't have a lot of following within the Writing Our Way Home community as yet and am feeling rather isolated. Thanks!

Your post made me visit the blog. Looks interesting enough. I think I couldn't find your contribuiton, if you made one, in the guest posts for a particular day. Is this a community for every one who lives 'abroad'???

Don't know who'll get this, but Happy Holidays to All! It seems to me that few people in my circle of WDC friends use these little updates. So, let's make a common New Year's resolution to update our lives a bit more frequently. Peace and Love to all. Cheers to the hot toddy and eggnog drinkers among us!!!

I've begun writing for the Writer's Digest online contest, 2011 November PAD Chapbook Challenge. Started yesterday and am only three poems behind. AND my wrist is not a happy camper at the current rate I'm using it.

Oh, and I'm visiting the Eiffel Tower Sunday morning with part of Pierre's family who arrive tomorrow morning for the long Vet Day week-end.

Finally a new poem, perhaps too long, but it says what it needs to say. I'm so happy to have written something convincing.

This after my class recital at the conservatory went well. Except that I have one of my more serious migraines. Needless to say, even though my hand was feeling OK, I didn't grace the audience with anything. Tomorrow's another day. And I'm here blathering about it because I've got two parties in the building. One below, one next door. Sleep and/or silence is impossible. Am I jinxed or what!

Greg and I are so lucky, either our building is incredibly well built or no one has any social life here.

After three weeks, the new anti-inflammatory pills bought from a US internet company are certainly helping my tendinitis. My hand takes a LOT less time recuperating from my daily activities. Now I just need a reason to convince my muse that there are things worth writing about. I feel like a fake lately.

Alfred, what did you find? My aches/flareups are mostly gone this week...the relief from pain is amazing!!

this is certainly good news! Can you convince my muse too?

Sheila. I found the "Anti-Inflammatory Support" compound from WholeHealth.com. Did I not send you that info? In general my hand is better, but today for some strange reason it's been uncommonly painful. Just the day I announced in public that things seem to be better.

Brilliant late Indian Summer in France. My writing days seem to be dwindling to early autumn firewood as I am not moved in the least to poetic composition. Life is simple lately, my students who all inspire me with no exception, a soon-to-be six-month-old Gao Cat and more communication with Pierre. Maybe I don't need writing any more...?

Similar weather and feelings about writing. Can't say life is ever simple however! It would be a sadder world without your poetry.

I'm the opposite and don't want to write or edit anything during the hot months. During that time I become extremely morose, such that I dare not post my dark thoughts online. My hibernating imagination runs freely again only after our rainy season in northern California starts. Because this is what I get each summer, anyone know the opposite of the condition named SAD?

Dear Sir;
You're right. Rather than leave a comment that could be construed as a nicety, making the author wonder what indeed was referred to and thereby perhaps starting a dialogue that might lead to elaboration on the original comment, I should have instead done nothing.
The piece I commented on has long since faded into obscurity in my mind for a melange of reasons, so forgive me if I do not reply in more detail. Good luck with your writing.
Nobody ever built a statue of a critic.

I'll try. After 10 weeks of summer break, I resume teaching in four days; I can't wait! Gao put a nasty gash in my right thumb so the piano is out again; my hand is so-so. I've little to say, so my poetry seems to have evaporated. Pierre and I have begun to truly communicate so my heart in light once again.

To return your facebook style note ;) Which I tried to comment on in my port, but it didn't work for some reasons - anxiety hasn't lessened - actually it's now worse (which explains my absence recently). And I'm still computerless.

Hope the rehearsal went well inspite of the migraine. I always hated rehearsals with migraines, there's nothing to do but sit there and pray you don't vomit all over your instrument.

Such an uplifting note!

Simply could not get out of the house last night for the rehearsal. I cancelled. They don't appreciate me for the most part anyway!

Sorry to hear you're still under the weather.

I was completely unable to leave the house last night because of the pain, so stayed home. Movement of any kind always makes the head worse. Today it's better, but I'm in Lyon without a minute's sleep last night.

Sorry to hear you are still suffering. Wish there was something I could do to help.

I see your notebook is being well scribbled on already. I'm afraid it could take far more years and brain cells than I have to conquer all these new changes. At least I know what a notebook is. When I visited the US I discovered Sliders are tiny burgers...now I'm confused again.

Thanks for visiting my wall...erm Notebook.

Friendship is all about Scribbling, Scarlett. And I had no idea that Sliders are tiny burgers. You sure you didn't hear buggers? Slipping and sliding from your nose? YUCK. GROSS (not a quantity). REPULSIVE. Yep, that's me.

Migraine day. My excuse.

How did Mandy make a paragraph change. Two taps of the return key?

Will this solution be THE solution?
Like    Comment    Apr 25, 2010 at 3:20pm EDT
Yep.

Two taps of the return key does what I wanted. Won't work for poetry though. Expanded poems, maybe.

And if I leave a second comment, will it be in chronological order somehow? I wonder if anyone will be around to read these silly musings about paragraphs.

A twenty-fifth hour? I could surely add another five to my day and still not find time to twiddle my thumbs.

Today it is truly April though. With a chill in the air and cleansing showers, it's a good day to sip peppermint tea, read a few blogs, and send a few hugs across the pond. ((( *Heart* )))

Ponds are swimmable! Although I'll accept the affectionate term for The Atlantic! Peppermint tea? Me, it's been sencha today. Lots of sunshine but the air is still cool. No rain yet. We need it.

Now, I wonder Summer, whether you'll get this response to your lovely supportive Scribble on my SP (that's troubadour talk for Scribble Page). I got an e-mail notification that you had scribbled on my SP. Did you also get an e-mail notifying your of my earlier Scribble? Hope you have a lovely day. Here's it's hazy with patches of blue.

My dear Brother....I send you blessings in this scribble here. Yes, I have seen your scribble on my wall, and thank you for always thinking of me as you do!!! You are loved by many, and whenever you are feeling down, perhaps it will serve you wise to look on this little scribble board and see just how much you are thought of and loved!!! *Heart*

Note to self: Reorganize this silly port, now that the SM has forced changed upon us. When? Where? How? Eternal questions for which time needs to find a few answers. Or a twenty-fifth hour in the day. Now surely that's not too much to ask for?
