Yeah, yeah! It's my birthday (my WDC birthday)! All the tech is up in new place -- now I feel like it's my job to fill in all the cracks with the essentials of living rather than the essentials of modern convenience. Where's my blankie?

This weekend was just what I needed! I was away from the computer. Upon return, some of what I say is figurative, some literal. Not packing what I needed, I see I never planned where I was going. Just a name on a map, far removed from where I'm used to -- still up for adventure. Got to reconnect with very good friends as we shared the journey. Cried out frustrations after laughing my head off. Giddy, punchy, and sincerely voiced truth; all while testing wings a-flutter slightly weighted by snow

Transcribed all notes I could locate this morning on my character studies for my protagonists in the Julcre novel. I have re-read RJR's Weekend Novelist, and I'm hungry to dust off my Joseph Cambell. It's a new goal (and attainable in 52 weeks or sooner) to actually complete my first novel.

It is my "birthday month." I always feel superlatively prosperous during this month (even if I no longer anticipate the swag of childhood nor a sugar rush).

My most recent read: more than half-way through Book one of The Belgariad: Pawn of Prophecy. I agree with my husband that the style of David Eddings is curiously stark on details, yet I keep reading. It doesn't fit my usual tastes, but at least I feel I can get through it.
