Spending the day with the granddaughters...never a mother, now the Stepmom of 3, the grandmother of 4. It has been an interesting morning watching a 3month and a 4year old . My granddaughters are precious. The older one gets to spend the night. 3 guesses who will be the most tired when this day is done, but oh so worth it.

Playing hooky to spend some time with the granddaughters. One turned 4 today, party on saturday. She is playing with her new bathtime Arial. The baby is just settling in for a nap...Oh and hubby just came home. Loving life.

Wedding updates and what not. Newest dilemma, is Miss Olivia getting sick? She has a very sore throat, with no fever, but woke up several times last night due to this. We will see how she does today...

Just bought our granddaughter her shoes for the wedding. They look like Dorothy's ruby red slippers, only they are silver. Soooo cute.

you know they were silver slippers in the book, right? They changed it for the film to make them more visually appealing and to take advantage of the whole "color" thing if I remember correctly.

Had to take them back...wrong size, looked everywhere and couldn't find a set in that color to fit, went with a winter white that is adorable.

The store is working on fixing the problem with the ring. Curt was devastated, he thought he had let me down. I convinced him otherwise. Just the look on his face at the thought he may have disappointed me. I never doubted his love, and see it more and more each day. He is a man with a big heart.

My rings were sent out to be sized, and just arrived. Curt picked them up and brought them home. One ring is missing. I have to take them back tomarrow. It is too late to have another set sized, we are 14 days from the wedding....

I will go down to the story in 2 1/2 hours. One working theory is that the ring didn't get pulled out of the envelope, and is now in the trash...lets hope not. This has definitely cemented it, these are the little things in life, and we are enjoying the moments of them, despite the wrinkle it is putting in the fabric of this wedding.

15 days until the wedding ! Time is moving by fast. It seems that in a blink of an eye, so much has passed by. Take the time, even if things are hectic, to stop for a moment and cherish it. These are the moments that often slip by silently and are easily missed in a blink of the eye.

I remember the craziness the last few weeks before my wedding (and the day off, too). Just make sure you guys take the time to enjoy yourselves that day. Give yourselves a few minutes to take it all in because everything happens so fast and then it's over before you know. Congratulations (again) and best wishes! *Heart*

I don't think I know when I am in over my head...I will shout though, if my mouth starts filling with sand as I sink in the quicksand of life ...but I refuse to go under this way, and will re-merge through the grace of friends who have thrust out their hands to help me stay afloat and regain my balance on firmer ground. On the up side...you are getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it could be worse...those stumbling block/stepping stones could be a job that apparently seems to have vanished, hubby's job possibly on the rocks after 13 years, and a book that just might not be coming out after all, Christmas around the corner and all sorts of plans out the window...so perspective is a marvelous thing and your wedding will be beautiful, you'll look like a million bucks and the day will be one you'll cherish forever!!!

Genuinely nice people are still in existence, do not give up hope on mankind. I stopped at a yard sale for some therapeutic shopping, though I had no business doing so...a stranger not only changed my burnt out headlight, but also delivered some furniture to my house. Thank you.
