How in touch with Nature are you? Let this quiz help you plan your next vacation - a thatched hut in the islands? A tent in a national park? The Ritz-Carlton?
1. Eating Habits:
 Your favorite foods…
      Involve campfire smoke, cast iron cookware, and meat.        
      Are champagne, caviar, and filet mignon.        
      Don't have a face.        
      Can be rehydrated with a little hot water, or better yet, eaten raw out of a Zip-Loc baggy.        
      Are served to you in bed by your significant other.        
 
2. Survival:
 On a camping trip, you would consider these to be "essentials":
      Water, food, and a tarp.        
      An RV with a queen-sized bed, bathroom, and well-appointed kitchenette.        
      An inflatable sleeping pad, a battery operated fan, and a propane grill.        
      Camping trip? Surely you jest.        
      A Sherpa and a safety harness.        
 
3. Home, Sweet Home:
 You live…
      In a modest mini-mansion or new home (built less than twenty years ago).        
      In a small home built over twenty years ago.        
      On a working farm or ranch.        
      In a cabin nestled deep in the woods.        
      In an apartment or townhome.        
 
4. Bugs:
 When it comes to bugs…
      You scream like a girl. Especially if they have wings.        
      You have the exterminator's number on speed dial. Bugs are disgusting.        
      You find them fascinating. And don't call them bugs, they're insects and arachnids.        
      You have guilty memories of pulling the wings off flies, because your parents wouldn't let you have pets and that was the only way to keep them from running away.        
      You have not so guilty memories of frying them under the hot sun and a magnifying glass.        
 
5. Style:
 You are most comfortable wearing…
      An expensive, custom-tailored suit.        
      100% organic, fair trade cotton clothing.        
      Easy-care tech fiber clothing from REI, and you know what "ultralight backpacking" entails.        
      Whatever fits and doesn't cost too much. Preferably doesn't have to be ironed, either.        
      Haute couture, baby - straight off the runway in New York or Paris!        
 
6. Accommodations:
 People who camp in RVs, complete with sattelite dish, TV, and wireless Internet…
      Might as well stay home. Losers.        
      Know how to live.        
      Have a really warped sense of priorities.        
      Probably have an carbon footprint bigger than a Sasquatch track.        
      Are seriously cool, provided they don't encrypt their network.        
 
7. Wildlife:
 If you were to come face to face with a bear in the woods…
      You'd do exactly what a bear does in the woods.        
      You would make noise and slowly, non-threateningly back away.        
      You'd scream and spray it in the nose with pepper spray.        
      You'd be thoroughly delighted! A real live bear, up close!        
      You'd wonder what on earth you were doing in the woods in the first place.        
 
8. Real Adventure:
 Your idea of an "adventure" involves…
      Camping out on an active volcano.        
      Sailing on a trimaran; snorkeling at a coral reef on the Big Island.        
      Skiing at a posh resort in the Alps.        
      A traditional African safari.        
      Exploring the Amazon rainforest with a team of university researchers studying biodiversity.        
 
9. Earth:
 Dirt should…
      Be rich, dark, and fertile.        
      Stay outside.        
      Be scrubbed off immediately.        
      Be analyzed for clues to global warming and the overall health of the ecosphere.        
      Not cost so much at the plant store! Really, it's an outrage.        
 
10. Vacation:
 Imagining your dream vacation, you see…
      A beachfront motel, lots of warm sand, and crystal clear water as far as the eye can see.        
      A camp site in a national forest, featuring a stunning array of geological features and wildlife.        
      A five-star hotel in a bustling, cosmopolitan city known for its nightlife and cultural attractions.        
      A cozy room in a quaint bed and breakfast inn near a handful of antique and boutique shops, not far from a quiet lake.        
      Home. I just want to stay home and curl up with a good book, or explore my own town like a tourist.
