Song Of The Sunflowers

Gold and green and brown of face,
Here we bloom in August heat,
Made from God's own loving grace,
Sing His praise with odours sweet.

Feed the bird and bumblebee,
Soul and bodies' needs supplied,
In our beauty you may see
Sun's reflection glorified.

Tall and towering over all,
Radiant is our blessed reign,
Up against the garden wall,
Dwarfing all in our domain.

Glory in the lovely sight,
Revel in the golden glow!
See God's majesty and might
Crowning Summer's splendour now.
