You called last night to
talk to 'my babies.' Eight months with no contact from you and you talk for eleven minutes to 'my babies.' What could a dad say in eleven minutes, that could begin to replace eight months of paternal emptiness? Inside, I cringe when your name is said or when one of 'my babies' ask questions about you. Smiling, I try to be mother and father to 'my babies.' Tammy 8/18/05 prompt~write a poem about babies~ for "Invalid Item"
