ISLAND IN THE SUN Somewhere lost in time, Is an island in the sun Where all the wars are over, A place where God has won. I don’t know how to find it But think the map at hand I think it is the Bible, Best seller of the land. I read it on the ocean voyage, That took me across the sea I read it in the trenches, It seemed to comfort me. I read it to my children, As they sat upon my knee I’ve read it all my life, But never found the key. I still think it’s in the Bible, Hidden from my mind When at the door of Heaven I hope the key I find. ©1/21/04 ![]()
