Loneliness
short poem, oppressiveness of loneliness

Accompanied by the falling rain,
walking through the desert streets
alone with the pain and fears
empty tears rolling cross my lips.

Hollowed heart aches,
sitting in the rain, cold and broken,
wronged by the crowded loneliness
pushed into the empty corner.

Laughter sounds throughout,
echoing in my mind forever
harsh and full of life.

Rain falls around me
soaking in death
wrapped in cold to the bone
never to be more than I am
never escaping that empty void,
the void that is loneliness.
