What do you say when you’ve been forgotten? Do you cry for mercy and beg forgiveness, Even when you have done nothing wrong? Must you pay a price that cannot be paid? What do you do when friends turn their back on you? They close their eyes, ears and hearts to all pleas. They deny your total existence, you are a ghost, A dying specter with no voice or substance. Where do you go when all doors are closed? Barred and padlocked with indifference. You are the unfortunate outsider looking in. The cry in the darkness unheard, unanswered. What do you do with all the bitterness within you? You use it to forgive, You use it to carry on, You use it to rebuild. And you do it alone.
