Concentric Circles
Quizmo LaGrande Concentric circles of color Lineate my every whim As we stand paralleled, Floating on square mirrored tiles, Cooled cubes, reflecting smiles In concentric rings Expanding to only more, Nothing less Than blue fires smoldering, Igniting red spires, glowing In triangular depths Of in-betweens. Fingers grope curves and corners In oblique places, acute performers, Willing to widen life’s informers, Concentrically increasing Into angled space releasing, Rainbows behind the scenes— The triangular depths Of in-betweens. In-between marriages, In-between crap, In-between children, fathers, and rap, In-between arguments, heaven and hell, And hopefully finding A wave that will swell To carry us off, And sweep us away In concentric rings Of color. Eyes in a loop only hurricanes conjure, Peaceful eyes for a moment That wind, whip and wander Demanding submission, Dappled... In-between The out-of-bounds.
