The night so dark
beckons me forward she draws me in with the light of the moon. The darkness in solace offers a strange comfort as I am drawn in and enveloped held tight in the empty void. I turn and look; in this strange new place, I see the darkness has stolen the moon. The pale orb fades away leaving me alone held in the comfort of the night, praying for daylight’s return. Welcoming the company that dawn would bring. I see not the rays of dawn, nor feel the warmth of the sun. Nothing but cold dark space and the emptiness she represents. For it is here, in the night so dark, that I am truly alone.
