“Cling!” Euros dropping
Into the State’s bank account
Each litre of petrol
I throw into my car…”Cling”!
It drives me to the poor house.

“Cling!” Euros dropping
into an empty gas tank
I cry ‘cause I know
we’re paying the highest price
for oil products, on this earth.

“Cling!” Euros dropping
hear other countries complain
but we talk to walls
un-bendable, iron walls
they only hear: “Cling! Cling! Cling!”
