The temperate drops oh so mildly
Trees turn from green to yellow and gold And ever so wildly My home changes ever so boldly And so the leaves change But not my heart I long for the security of the changing leave I’m used to and the friendship I adore Royal purples and vibrant reds Orange pumpkins and Indian corn bring in a week of Indian summer And then for six months will nothing be born And so the leaves change But not my heart I long for this beautiful season And to share all this – With the person who will give my life reason
