A Christmas Love
On the first day of Christmas we shared our first smile We kissed in the moonlight on our emerald isle On the second day of Christmas we laughed with delight Our spirits alive as we danced in snow white On the third day of Christmas we spoke all night on the phone All our trials, dreams and fears to each other were shown On the fourth day of Christmas I held you so tight As you cried in my arms in the beauty of night On the fifth day of Christmas I watched you in awe As you sang with a passion I could only adore On the sixth day of Christmas we had our first fight Still with one word of sorrow the wrongs made we made right On the seventh day of Christmas we looked out to the stars Wondered of a future, if mine and hers could be ours On the eighth day of Christmas I knew I had found The woman of dreams, a love so profound On the ninth day of Christmas you took me by the hand Paved my way to the bedroom and your promised land On the tenth day of Christmas I woke up alone Scared and confused without you, on my own On the eleventh day of Christmas we met once again And with your scarlet tongue, spun a tale to explain On the twelfth day of Christmas I gave you my heart Still you’d now found another, you tore me apart If you enjoyed this poem and would like to read more of my work I currently have two books available that can be obtained through the links below.
