Hear the carefree laughter.
Share the wonder of newfound joys.
Cherish them, for after
They are never just 'girls and boys'.

Their happiness is truly fleeting.
They know not what's in store.
For adulthood's first meeting
Soaks right into the core.

Hold tightly to their hopes.
Help them chase their dreams.
In a world where most just 'cope'
Life is harder than it seems.
