Darkness Became Me
A poem about myself, and my friend that hurt me

As I sit, my desolate space.
All alone since you left.
The pain flows in, but it wont flow out.
I feel the darkness welling up inside me
Agony and dispair.
All the hurt of the world,
As you slide the knife in.
I thought I could trust.
Trust brought me anguish
As my soul cries out for release
From this hell that is now my life.
I keep living this hell,
But there is no life in it now.
Just moving through the motions,
Hour by hour, Day by day.
The darkness within has enveloped me
The torment tears at my soul
Ripping what shreds of humanity I have left
I have become an empty shell.
Because you only wanted to use
You never wanted what you led me to believe
All it was to you was a game
To hurt, to use, and for personal gain
And because of you, and what you did,
The darkness of the soul became me.
