"I love you," she said,
in a tainted whisper, watching him walk away. Her heart exposed, a decidious arbor shedding prideful leaves on humble earth. She called out again, louder now, tears lashing out on vulnerable cheeks. Dark clouds overhead immersing a sullen sky, heavy raindrops falling with vengeful blows. She stayed, letting the water cleanse her broken spirit, unable to forgive herself. "I love you," she said, in a remorseful sigh, turning and walking away.
