A rain from the sky, came from the west
Starting my contemplations as I know you were at rest So many words filled my heart with pain As I closed my eyes and hid away from my shame I was not here to spill excuses from my heart But to tell what would surely tear us apart A confession of absolute mere disgust One foolish night that I could not see was only lust A mistake that would surely ruin our love If only I had one last prayer for someone far up above What I would do if I could take it all away I wouldn’t be here not knowing what else to say So I stand outside soaked to my death As the rain falls on my misery cutting off my every breathe I’m at the window ready to call her name She will never believe me, but she isn’t the one to blame I move my head to peer into the shiny glass But for what I saw I gave a tiny gasp The one I love making the same mistake with another guy I thought that I could, at once, hear my heavens cry She walked in sync, made all the same mistakes To teach me to see clearly this is what it takes She fell in the same hands of deception as me Now I know that not everything is "suppose to be" ~Jordan
