I SHARE A HOME
I share a home with Rats and spiders, Ants and cockroaches, Cats and dogs, Snakes and frogs. Stinging insects and bees, Gophers and moles. Owls and bats, Animals, domestic and wild. I share a home with people From all walks of life, Dark skinned, light-skinned, Blonde and brunette. We have different ideas Different values and customs And different ways of talking To each other. We share a home, And if we don't get along Our home suffers the effects., Our home is not just within four walls. It is the ground we walk on, The world we live in. We live together and we must share. To live, love, respect and feel compassion Is to have harmony in the world, Our shared home.
