A LINK IN THE CHAIN
A link in the chain Has been broken, And the chain feels it. All life is interconnected. Each link is a life Connected to every other Like an unending chain. When a chain link breaks The chain rattles. It loses strength Until it is repaired. Yet some of the stronger links Have forgotten the value of the whole, Allowing links to be broken And the whole of the chain to be weakened. When we forget the value- Of every life, Of every link- And a single link is allowed to be broken The chain is weakened And the whole has lost something for it. When will we realize That life is a chain?
