Swimming In A Fish Bowl...minus the "e"



I am a tiny fish
A goldfish, so it’s told,
I swim about all day
In a round glass prison bowl

This is my tiny world
My food is flaky brown
And all I do all day
Is swim around and round

I wish that I could smash through
This wall that holds my soul
And swim as wild dolphins would
In liquid vast and cold

Alas, I’m but a goldfish
Swimming in this bowl
This glass wall is my prison
Survival is my goal
