wintery cupid

my aura shivers
with
the chill of new discovery:
all i touch
turned diamond

rush headlong
to glittering shadows,
sparkling world:

frost below-
the only clouds
from tingling lips-
those wisps of breath
you've yet to steal away.

my heart beats out
a stirring theme
to follow you
down hidden alleys,
cross slippery streams.

upon the bridge we stop
suspended:
neither there nor here.
i look below, in peril's river,
the icy shimmer of your eyes.
you beckon me to take
the Plunge.

drawing near the edge,
i have to wonder- if
i Fall
-will you Catch me?
