Burning secrets in the dark
The scalding flames flicker and fade Dancing in their feeding frenzy of paper fuel As every wrong thought I have voiced Blackens, becoming smoldering, weightless ash Floating troublesome embers away into oblivion As smoke's aromas fill my very sense of being Burdens are freed from these heaving shoulders No longer dark secrets since inked to life; No longer a sin since flames kissed them away. ![]()
