DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER By: stargirl A long forgotten book, On the library shelf There, covered by cobwebs, it lie It's too unattractive, not worthy to be read Say, people passing it by Don't judge a book by it's cover For if you do, you might miss That a treasure's inside, that longs to be seen Between the covers amiss The geode's just an ugly rock You may faithfully decide So walking on your way unknowing That small crystals were inside Don't judge a geode from its shell For if you do, you might miss That a treasures inside, longing to be seen Between it's covers amiss- A person is the most misjudged They hurt inside as others pass by Trying to smile when they'd rather cry And all too willing to die They say they're fine when they're not And they hide behind a mask Just wanting to see a friendly face Is that so much to ask? Don't judge people from their appearance, For if you do, you might miss, That a treasure's inside, longing to be seen, Between their covers amiss
