Broken Spirit
A poem about a self-experience

a little girl
lost, confused, and wondering why
her world has turned into a whirl
and her life completely awry
she passes a mirror and has no reflection
so scared and afraid
she realized she has no protection
and that her entire life had begun to fade
for the first time that she can remember
her heart and head both agree
that because of that day in cold December
dying may be the only way to set her free
she had become Nothing
she had become Invisible
all she can do is continue her broken living
and face the Pain and Hatred that is inevitable
