God's Plan of Eternal Love
A very brief essay.

Do you realize that part of God's original plan for humans was eternal romantic love?

I was stunned to discover this. But, it came to me quite suddenly as I was conversing with my friend this past Saturday. The following is the reasoning that I gave to back my assertion:

The original biblical sever of marriage is death.

When God brought Eve to Adam in marriage, Adam instantly fell in love with her, spouting poetry. Then God said, "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth."

At this point in the equation, there was no death. They had not yet sinned. When they sinned, death was introduced as the penalty. It was not part of God's original plan.

Romantic love and marriage were.

Marriage without death = Marriage without a sever = Eternal romantic love in the perfection of God's plan.

No wonder we aspire to eternal love! God wanted us to have it!
