The best never rest Or so the story goes The glory goes to all That only go for gold Push yourself Test yourself Take it to the limit Make it so your body hurts Give all you've got to give it Don't stop till you're number one 'Cause winners never quit And even then you're never done If you stop, prepare to sit It's a merry go round Never gonna stop Once you're on, you stay there Even after you reach the top And all the pain you went through And all the tears you shed And all the sweat that poured down All with how much you bled Does that make you the hero? Does that make you so strong? It doesn't mean you stay on top Not for very long You finally see the light You finally understand To them it's not how bad you want it But what you'll do before you stand Giving in will make it worse Don't waste all of your pride Make it so you know you can Without hurting in or outside Written in 1998
