MY HOME
There are two ceilings in my home One of blue satin streaked at times With red, gold, purple and white The other a black velvet dome Studded with diamonds. Across the ceiling move two lights One a brilliant circle of golden fire The other a pale silvery orb. There are carpets of every shade and scent Furniture with arms on which I can sit To dream and plan and hope. The halls are blue and foamy white Or sometimes dusty brown or black Pathways to help me move about. Many souls live in my home, Some soft and gentle And some wild and dangerous. They bring me joy and also sorrow But all have a place and a meaning. And we are all bound together by Two ephemeral things Life and love.
