Summer haiku
The lake lies still -- still Just before the sun comes up And the birds begin. A wild strawberry ripe, sweet, still warm with life melts on my tongue. Twinkling with fireflies moonlit honeysuckle vines sweeten the night air. Just one June in a year of months Don’t waste a minute.
