Alone
Feelings of being alone. (past poem)

The ones I’ve called my friends so long
Have ceased to speak to me…
But why?

I feel this loneliness enveloping me
Wandering, trying to find the way
Where am I?

I cry out to the sky
Hoping that you will hear me
Hoping that you will find me
And save me from this loneliness
For I feel utterly alone…

These days are filled with tears and smiles
As I walk the hallways, watching you move on
Will I also find a new life?
Or will I stay here…alone forever.

I see you smiling, enjoying your new life
As I watch you…I wonder,
‘Am I a part of this new life you have found?’
Though, I can never seem to find that answer
Won’t you let me know?

I cry out to the sky
Hoping that you will hear me
Hoping that you will find me
And save me from this loneliness
For I feel utterly alone…

I feel the wind blowing against me
As I run, hoping to escape this darkness
But I can never seem to find that light
For the loneliness always catches up to me
No matter how much I may run

These days are filled with tears and smiles
As I walk the hallways, watching you move on
Will I also find a new life?
Or will I stay here…alone forever.

For now, though
I will try my best to be strong
And walk forward
Facing everything this path has in store for me
Smiling along the way
Even if I am meant to be alone in this world.
