IF I WERE YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE
If I were your Christmas tree, the one you picked out from the crowd, proudly wearing all the ornaments that my branches have allowed. My lights would sparkle brightly; I would twinkle with anticipation when you walked into the room to look at me with adoration! I'd tip the star that shines (since I do not wear a hat) and extend to you a lovely bough - (What do you think of that?) I would gladly hold the gifts that you've placed here and there and if a Christmas tree could smile - you'd know how very much I care. But, alas, I'm just a mortal man whose love sometimes doesn't show; If I were your Christmas tree, your heart would always be aglow! Countrymom 12/2/05
