My Loneliness

I sit here in my corner, with no one at my side,
Most days I sit wishing I could just go away and hide.

I look around at those I love, and those I wish to befriend,
I watch as their friendships break, but the next day they shall mend.

At lunch I sit and see them play,
But not once do they cast a look my way.

I come to school without a ‘Hi!’
And at the end not one ‘Goodbye!’

One day I shall just fade off into the past,
And it will happen all too fast.
